Bio Summary

 

I´m actually the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires (FCV-UBA), Argentina. I´m also Professor of the University of Buenos Aires and researcher of the National Scientific and Technological Research Council (CONICET)

I´m the Director of the Center for Transdisciplinary Water Studies (CETA, University of Buenos Aires Institute) and the INVET Journal (Veterinary Research Journal, FCV-UBA).

I´m part of several national and international researcher projects and involved on international research nets. I published more than 30 scientific papers on national and international journals, 24 book chapters and 10 books. Regarding human resources training, I have directed mora than 10 PhD and Master´s Theses.

On the other hand, I have given 20 invited lectures and made 120 Congrees presentations.

In 2011, I was distinguished with the MERCOSUR Science and Technology Award.

  1. PhD of University of Buenos Aires. Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, University of Buenos Aires: PhD Thesis “Trace elements in water, soil, forage and milk”, was qualified as “Summa Cum Laude”.

 

Main Research Interests:

 

Water quality for livestock. Management of water resources in agroecosystems. Transference of arsenic and trace elements from environmental matrices to the agricultural food chain.
